Robinhood Crypto Wallet Waitlist Hits 1 million People

Recently Vlad Tenev, the CEO of Robinhood crypto wallet spoke about the popularity of cryptocurrency. He said that crypto as an asset class is not just a short-term phenomenon, but the digital asset class is here to stay. He further added that Blockchain and crypto are the future. He revealed that Robinhood recently reached 1 million mark. 1 million people have signed up to the firm’s crypto wallet waitlist.

As of this writing, there are more than 1 million users are registered on the waitlist for Robinhood’s long-awaited crypto wallet according to CEO Vlad Tenev.  He said that:

“An increasing amount of people on daily basis asks us about the ability to send and receive the cryptocurrency, transfer them to the wallet, and transfer them to banks in order to use it. And Robinhood is about to end the wait for people. “

He said that the recent surge in the popularity of crypto-related operations has provided the company with an opportunity to expand its operations. As of now, Robinhood has not introduced crypto deposits and withdrawal services. The company’s customer-based till not has urged the company to introduce these features. Robinhood’s premium services include buying crypto in terms of U.S dollar and trade various digital currencies on the platform.

As Robinhood is looking for further growth. The company has dropped hint that they are about to introduce this feature in near future. On Sept. 22, Robinhood at long last reported its arrangements to carry out a computerized resource wallet and opened up a shortlist for first admittance to the new component. A Robinhood agent told Market Watch last month that the wallet will make a big appearance this month for certain clients and will ultimately open up to all clients in mid-2022.

The goal behind this is to provide an opportunity even for those skeptical of crypto to have a crypto wallet, whether people would use it or not. In near future, crypto will emerge as an essential part of the economic activities all across the globe, especially on the U.S. Robinhood started its operations back in 2018 by offering Bitcoin and Ethereum digital currencies. Later on, Robinhood showed its support to altcoin-based digital currencies such as Dogecoin (DOGE) and Litecoin (LTC).  Currently Robinhood offering trade services of seven major cryptocurrencies on its platform almost in every major state of the U.S.

Robinhood CEO also said that except for launching its digital wallets, the platform is also interested in supporting Shiba Inu and it would be soon available for trade on the Robinhood platform.  As of now, Robinhood supports seven major cryptocurrencies and plans to include more in future.
